Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 August 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Zoopet ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile application Car Maintenance & Fuel Log (the "App"), available on Google Play, Samsung Galaxy Store, and other app marketplaces.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

The App does not require you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number to use its core features.

The vehicle records you enter — service and repair history, fuel fill-ups, odometer readings, costs, documents, reminders, notes, and any photos you attach — are stored on your device only. We do not receive them, we do not host them, and we cannot read them.

If you contact us through the in-app feedback option, your device's email application opens a message addressed to contact@zoopet.in pre-populated with the App version, your Android version, and your device model, plus any text you choose to write. We use this information solely to respond to your feedback or support request.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

1.3 What We Do Not Collect

The App contains no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK. We do not operate an account system, we do not run a backend server that receives your data, and we do not build a profile of you. Aggregate crash and performance statistics are visible to us only through the anonymised reports the app stores themselves provide to developers.

2. Local Notifications

The App sends local notifications (service and document reminders) scheduled and triggered entirely on your device. We do not operate a notification server, and no push messaging service is integrated. No personal information leaves your device for notifications.

You may disable notifications at any time from your device's system settings or by revoking the notification permission for the App.

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Google Services

3.2 Advertising Mediation Partners

AdMob mediation may route an advertising request to one of the following networks. Each has its own privacy policy governing the data it processes:

3.3 Samsung Galaxy Store Version

The version of the App distributed through the Samsung Galaxy Store uses the Samsung In-App Purchase service instead of Google Play Billing to process the one-time advertising-removal purchase. Google Play Billing is not present in that version. Samsung Privacy Policy

4. Advertising and Your Consent

The App is supported by advertising. Before any advertisement is requested, the App asks the Google User Messaging Platform whether consent is required in your region. Where it is — including the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom — you are shown a consent form and no advertising request is made until you have answered it. If consent to personalised advertising is refused, advertising is either non-personalised or not shown at all, depending on your answer.

You can change your advertising choices at any time by resetting or deleting your Advertising ID in your device settings.

A single in-app purchase removes all advertising from the App permanently. After that purchase, no advertising SDK request is made.

5. Permissions the App Requests

The App does not request storage, location, contacts, microphone, or account permissions.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Access and Portability

Your records are on your device. You can export them at any time using the App's backup function, which produces a file you control.

7.2 Withdrawing Advertising Consent

Reset your Advertising ID in your device settings, or purchase the advertising removal, which stops all advertising SDK activity.

7.3 In-App Data Deletion

You can delete any individual record from within the App. To delete all data, uninstall the App or clear its data from your device's application settings — this removes the local database and every attached photo. If you used Google Drive backup, delete the App's application-data folder from your Google Account settings under "Manage apps".

7.4 Regional Rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with comparable law, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection in respect of personal data we hold. Because we do not hold your vehicle records, most such requests concern only the advertising identifiers processed by the third parties in section 3 — write to us and we will direct you to the correct controller.

8. Data Retention

We retain no copy of your records, so we have nothing to retain or delete on your behalf. Correspondence you send to our support address is kept only as long as needed to resolve your request. Advertising partners retain data according to their own policies, linked in section 3.

9. Security

Your records are stored in the App's private storage area, which other applications on your device cannot read. Any backup you make to Google Drive is protected by your own Google Account. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes are posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
