<h1>Terms of Service</h1>

<p>These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the mobile application
<strong>Car Maintenance &amp; Fuel Log</strong> (the "App"), published by Zoopet ("we", "us",
"our"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use
the App.</p>

<h2>1. Licence</h2>
<p>We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use
the App on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial or internal business
record-keeping. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, reverse-engineer, decompile, or
create derivative works from the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.</p>

<h2>2. What the App Is</h2>
<p>The App is a manual record-keeping tool for vehicles you own or operate. It stores what you
enter: service and repair history, fuel fill-ups, odometer readings, costs, documents, and
reminders.</p>

<h2>3. What the App Is Not</h2>
<p>This is important, so it is stated plainly:</p>
<ul>
  <li>The App is <strong>not</strong> a diagnostic tool. It does not connect to an OBD2 adapter,
      read fault codes, decode a VIN, or retrieve manufacturer service records.</li>
  <li>The App does <strong>not</strong> provide mechanical, safety, legal, tax, or financial
      advice. Reminder intervals are the ones <em>you</em> set; they are not a manufacturer
      service schedule and we do not verify them against one.</li>
  <li>The App does <strong>not</strong> guarantee that a reminder will be delivered. Notification
      delivery depends on your device, its power-management settings, and the permissions you have
      granted. Do not rely on the App as your only reminder for a safety-critical service,
      an insurance renewal, or a legal registration deadline.</li>
</ul>
<p>You remain responsible for maintaining your vehicle and for meeting any legal or insurance
obligation that applies to it.</p>

<h2>4. Your Data and Backups</h2>
<p>Your records are stored on your device. We do not hold a copy. If you uninstall the App, clear
its data, lose your device, or your device fails, <strong>your records are gone unless you made a
backup</strong>. The App provides a backup function to your own Google Drive and a local backup
file; using it is your responsibility, and we cannot recover data for you.</p>

<h2>5. Advertising</h2>
<p>The App is supported by advertising, served through Google AdMob and its mediation partners.
Advertising content is supplied by third parties and is not endorsed or verified by us. Where the
law requires it, you are asked for advertising consent before any advertising request is made. See

<h2>6. In-App Purchase</h2>
<p>The App offers a <strong>single one-time purchase</strong> that permanently removes advertising.
It is not a subscription, it does not renew, and it does not expire.</p>
<ul>
  <li>The purchase is processed by Google Play (Google Play version) or Samsung
      In-App Purchase (Galaxy Store version). We never receive or store your payment details.</li>
  <li>The purchase is tied to the store account that made it. It restores on a new device when you
      sign in with that same account.</li>
  <li><strong>Refunds are handled by the store you purchased from</strong>, under that store's
      refund policy — Google Play or Samsung Galaxy Store. We cannot issue a refund directly.</li>
  <li>Prices are shown by the store in your local currency and may change. A price change never
      affects a purchase you already made.</li>
</ul>

<h2>7. Acceptable Use</h2>
<p>You agree not to use the App to store unlawful content, to attempt to gain unauthorised access
to any system, to interfere with advertising delivery or the purchase flow, or to use automated
means to interact with the App in a way that degrades it for others.</p>

<h2>8. Availability and Changes</h2>
<p>We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time. We may update
these Terms; the revised version is posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and
continued use of the App after that constitutes acceptance.</p>

<h2>9. Disclaimer of Warranties</h2>
<p>The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or
implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do
not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any calculation, reminder, or
report it produces is accurate or complete.</p>

<h2>10. Limitation of Liability</h2>
<p>To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect,
incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for loss of data, loss of profits,
vehicle damage, missed maintenance, missed renewals, or fines, arising out of or relating to your
use of the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the
amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim arose.</p>
<p>Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited,
including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.</p>

<h2>11. Termination</h2>
<p>These Terms apply until terminated. You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the App. We
may terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, the licence in
section 1 ends; sections 3, 4, 9, 10, and 12 survive.</p>

<h2>12. Governing Law</h2>
<p>These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing
in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection law in your country
of residence.</p>
